“El Camino de Santiago del Norte”

“El Camino de Santiago” along the Asturian coast

“El Camino” along the coast, known as “El Camino de Norte”, is one of the oldest and most spectacular Jacobean routes. This route, which goes from Irun to Santiago de Compostela, crosses Asturias through incredible landscapes between the sea and the mountains. Passing through Muros del Nalón, next to our apartments, the road becomes quiet and special. Here pilgrims can enjoy the Espiritu Santo viewpoint, with breathtaking views of the coast. From Muros, the Camino continues through forests, small villages and paths that cross green areas. It is a very quiet stretch, perfect for disconnecting, because there are fewer people than on other routes. At every step, you come across remnants of the past, such as old pilgrims’ hospitals or churches, which have seen walkers pass through for centuries. In this part of the Camino del Norte you can feel the peace of the landscape and the tradition of el Camino de Santiago, making every step worthwhile.
